I try to post at least once a week, but sometimes I don’t have the time and/or energy or a full thought out post. This is one of those times. Nevertheless, I wanted to share some links that I like and think would be valuable:
First, an uplifting post on how to resist Trump and how it can work. As always, remember that you are more powerful than you realize.
Second, a great article on folks who are ALREADY experiencing Trump remorse. I know it seems like a year, but its only been a month. I truly understand the urge to mock and shame these folks - I have a lot of anger toward them. But the constructive thing to do is to welcome them and encourage them to make amends by sharing their stories, hoping that others will see the light.
This article is a great retort to those who say that Democrats have no power and can’t reasonably be expected to stop Trump. (This unfortunately often comes from Democrats in Congress themselves.) When you contact your Senators (which you are doing regularly, right?), use this specific list (about halfway down the article) to tell them what to do.
This one may seem hypocritical of me, but it’s actually what I keep saying - arguing with people on the internet (which I do sometimes), or even just posting about the horrible things Trump is doing, is not productive - in fact, it may be counterproductive. Organize. Act. It works.
And finally, one of my favorite writers, Will Leitch, on how we can all do little things to make the world a better place, even in the face of a terrible government.
I, personally, get the sense the tide is slowly turning. Let’s stay motivated and active and together we’ll get through this.
This is one of those important posts that I count on you for. Keep it up Dave.
Thanks Dave, I really need this!
